The 2009 Graduation Ball | 2009-12-07
Our Graduation Ball represented the beginning of the end for our Grade 13 Graduating Class. Everyone from Grade 13 was really looking forward the Ball which took place on the 6th of March 2009. The ball was held in the beautiful Chateau of Šilheřovice built in the 19th century. It was wonderful to see the classy historical building once again brought to life and filled with music and laughter. With all the people in beautiful ball gowns and handsome suits, the atmosphere was brilliant, if a little chilly. The best seat in the house was next to the blazing fire! The highlight of the evening was when our graduates received their sashes on which was written “Graduate of 2009”.
The music was grand and was provided by a live band and DJ Tom Hanzl. The program was guided by Monika Kukolová and Phil Corkill – the class teacher of the Graduating Class 2009. All the parents and guests seemed to enjoy the ball as much as the students. Thank you to Jason Fitzgerald and the staff of Hotel Brioni for sponsoring the event and for providing excellent food and drinks. Thank you also to Mr. Křížák for the awesome firework display which was better than New Year’s Eve and to Bebel flower shop for the wonderful decorations. We are grateful to the Grade 13 Ball Organizing Committee for all their work in making the Ball happen – Klara F, Janek P, Veronika H, Dominik M and Aneta T. Special thanks must be given to the custodians of the Chateau for allowing us to use the wonderful historical building. And we mustn’t forget to thank Mr. Knápek for driving the shuttle bus and for all his selfless hard work.
