Art Lab

Art students visited the Gallery PLATO Ostrava yesterday. The Gallery PLATO prepared an educational program called Art Lab for our students – an art lab that changes the general belief that there is an insurmountable gap between science and art. The program brought us information about contemporary art, but also linked this area with the world of technology, science, geography, and psychology. Students were looking for „art in science and art in art“, looking for interrelationships and connections between these seemingly different worlds, experimenting with unusual materials, solving unconventional assignments. Scientist and artist are driven by the desire to know – without creative thinking, the desire to experiment and the search for an original solution, many works of art or even the lightest scientific discoveries will not arise.
