Congratulations to the Gold Award go to Kristýna, Eva and Petr!
Their long experiential journey took almost two years. During completing their awards, they had to reach their goals, overcome some obstacles, they gained new experience, comptences and skills, and they discovered new opportunities and sometimes even themselves. On Tuesday, their mission was accomplished and they entered beautiful building of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, where the Gold Award Ceremony of the Duke of Edinburgh´s International Award (DofE) took place. Our school offers this programme to our students but it is also possible for out-of-school participants to join our Award Unit and to begin their adventures. The Gold Award was handed over to almost 100 Awardees by HRH Earl of Wessex, Prince Edward, who supports the DofE now.
It is a world-wide programme and we are proud of our award holders for the last four years. Our school inspired and led more than 20 Award Holders of all levels in their personal challenges. Now, there are more than 25 participants at our school. Moreover, six other participants finished their DofE journeys and they are already looking forward to the next Bronze and Silver Award Ceremony in December. This time, without a member of the British Royal family, but for sure, there will be a Czech DofE patron present.
If you wanna challenge yourself, join us! More info on www.dofe.cz and http://www. is-ostrava.cz/cs/experience- learning/detail/3
Once more, congratulations!
