Junior Achievement is the oldest and largest non-profit educational organization in the world.
It was founded in 1919 in the US and now operates in more than 120 countries worldwide. Around 10 million children and students aged from 6 to 22 years take part in its projects annually.
Czech agency of Junior Achievement was founded in 1992 by Mr. Tomáš J. Baťa.
More than 300,000 children and students have participated in Junior Achievemnt since then.
Primary schools are offered courses in Alphabet Business and Professional Orientation. Students of secondary and higher vocational schools are assisted in the course of JA Firma (JA Company) based on the fair trade company to experience entrepreneurship in practice, and providing them with the teaching of economic theory, ethics or interactive objects, in which through computer simulations, they learn to manage money or become managers of manufacturing companies.
