Candidates apply for the admissions procedure in accordance with the announcement of admissions procedure criteria issued by the school headmaster in accordance with the Education Act and implementing decrees.

A transfer within the secondary school during the current school year is possible at any time based on notification of the transfer, assessment of the application and the decision of the headmaster of the school on the transfer.

You are welcome at our school at any time. As standard, we offer an experience day at our school, a so-called „Experiential Day“, where individual study applicants can experience one school day in a selected class.

A/ Entrance examination for applicants to the first year of an Eight-year Educational programme (prima) and the first year of a Four-year Educational programme.

Admissions to our school consist of 2 parts:

1. part – National Entrance Examination (NEE)

Admissions for Educational programmes ending with matriculation examination always include examination in Czech language and literature and mathematics. For further information about the joint part please visit: https://prijimacky.cermat.cz/

MŠMT has recently launched a test application for practicing the JPZ didactic tests – JPZ Application

The applicant submits the application form for the first round of the Entrance exam to the head of school in a prescribed manner in a time period from February 1 to February 20, 2025.

The National Entrance Examination takes the form of a written test and is scheduled for the following dates:

Exam dates for Four-year Educational programme take place on 11 and 14 April 2025

Exam dates for Eight-year Educational programme take place on 15 and 16 April 2025

Alternative dates:

• April 29 and 30, 2025 for four-year fields of education
• April 29 and 30, 2025 for multi-year fields of education

2. part – School Entrance Examination (SEE)

The school part of the Entrance Examination includes: English language – grammar exam, oral interview and written thesis.

2. Exam date April 3, 2025

Alternative date:

• April 25, 2025

General information:

• A better JPZ result is counted
• School entrance exams in English – April 2 or April 3 2025
• Application submission (see information on Přihlášky na střední):

1. Electronic application – BEST method, done through the official information system.
2. Application in the form of an extract from the system – the second hybrid variant
3. Printed form

• They can submit 3 applications to 3 schools with a binding order of schools for admission in case of successful fulfillment of the conditions of the admission procedure

Explanation: in the case of admission to the first school in the sequence, the applicant must enter this school, if he fails, he automatically enters the second school in the sequence if he has successfully fulfilled the conditions of the admission procedure.

Results:

• published in the information system on May 15 2025 and also on the official school notice board and also via remote access at is-ostrava.cz

B/ Entrance examination for applicants to the upper years of the Eight-year Educational Programme
(sekunda, tercie, kvarta, kvinta)

The school admission procedure consists of English language and mathematics in the form of entrance examinations prepared by the school (SEE).

English – grammar exam, oral interview and written exam.

Mathematics – level of knowledge and basic mathematical skills and competences at respective grade level.

• April 25, 2024

General information:

• The applicant submits the application for the first round of the admission procedure to the head of school in the prescribed manner in a time period from February 1 to February 20, 2025.
