Our project Innovation and creativity in education for a multicultural environment reflecting interdisciplinary relationships lasted from September 2021 to December 2022 and was focused on the further education of teaching staff. Thanks to a grant from the European Union, we implemented 14 professional courses throughout Europe. Specifically, the Creative and Critical Mind course in Spain, Social Media Classroom in Greece, Learn to Teach English and Any Other Subject with Drama in Holland, Digital Storytelling and Creativity in the Classroom in Greece, Storytelling for Education and Learning in Italy, Podcast and New Media as an Education Tool in Italy, Project-Based Learning in Ireland, Teaching Science in Greece, Drama in Education in Cyprus, Building Positive learning Environment in Cyprus, The 4Cs in Italy, Creativity in the Classroom in Croatia, The Best Digital Tools for Language Teachers in France.

As part of project dissemination, we founded EDU LAB 1st International School of Ostrava, which organized a one-day conference for our and future teachers of the University of Ostrava, which was full of workshops presenting modern pedagogical methods. The result of this project is undoubtedly the improvement of formal and informal education at the 1st International School of Ostrava. Specifically, in formal education, creativity has gained an important place in our educational program and also in the descriptors of our pupils‘ evaluations. In non-formal education, we have improved the quality of our multimedia center.

We have built a brand new podcast studio, which is an important element in strengthening the active citizenship of our pupils and a significant element in the democratization of our school environment.
