I moved to the Czech Republic in 2008 from Albuquerque, New Mexico. To be honest, I didn’t want to leave the US, I didn’t speak much Czech and I didn’t kno...
1st International School of Ostrava is a school, which gave me general knowledge and very intensive studies in English. It also taught me to think and work, both collaboratively and individually, and this was a very good preparation for my mission abroad. I began my university career in Switzerland, where I studied International Hospitality Management. Then, I worked in Portugal, in the USA and in Great Britain. I must say, that I was very satisfied with the team of 1st International School of Ostrava. They do a good job and make a good quality school. I know that I am connected with the region I come from and I know that I will come back some day after the long time spent abroad. I passed my student´s torch to my siblings who study at the school now. I also hope that I will have a chance to give such an opportunity to my children in the same way my parents did for me. ISO will stand in my mind and I still meet my former classmates and teachers, who have become my friends.
