Like every 9th grader I did not know what to expect from high school and I chose 1st International School of Ostrava mainly because of my sister, who used to study here. It did not turn out to be exactly High School Musical, but ISO surpassed my expectations.

Thanks to my parents I got the opportunity to study in an international environment, where I met a lot of new and interesting people from all around the world and I finally found a sense of belonging.

After three years I can confidently say that this school did not give me only knowledge but also taught me how to grow as a person. The school is giving me a great opportunity to broaden my horizons internationally, both now and in the future. Thanks to ISO I am surrounded by friends with whom I experience one of the best moments of my life, which I would not trade for anything in the world (or maybe for a cookie).

And as for the future? I think that everyone struggle at some point in their life with who they really are and what their place is in the world. And even though I still do not know which way to go in the future, I know that the only thing I can really do is just to live to the fullest. And I can only hope that if I do so, then I can discover the real me and learn to grow further. I believe that ISO is a big part of my life’s journey, and that it helps me to find the right direction.

Everyone will interpret our school in their on way. As for myself, the ISO is a one big family, that will always stand by you, and I’m glad to be a part of it. Thank you all for being part of my life.
