Winter Trek 2019

The hiking in the winter conditions in the mountains, teambuilding, work with information about local environment and people of Frenštát pod Radhoštěm – these were the aims of our second annual Winter Trek of ISO students, teachers and parents. This year, after our journey by train, we followed tourist path from Frenštát pod Radhoštěm to Velký Javorník mountain. One way to the summit, the other way back to town. Considering the real and beautiful winter, heaps of snow, clouds, snowing and minus degrees, we managed the trek successfully, we enjoyed delicious soups in the summit hut, we did not see the viewing tower (too foggy on the summit), dogs accompanied us all the way up and back, and some of us found out that it is better to follow the path than to crawl straight up to the hill through the snow masses.
